Our fantastic summer is not over yet! Please join us for a FREE day of great music in the sun on Saturday August 21st from 2-6 PM.
It’s the Camas Riverside Concert Series featuring The SlimJims and Southern Cross!
Held at Marina Park, this second concert of the summer is set for Saturday, Aug. 21. It will start with the SlimJims taking the stage at 2 PM, followed by Southern Cross at 4 PM. And best of all, it’s a family friendly event so if you have children, it would be great opportunity to bring everyone along.
Come out and enjoy some time simply sitting and relaxing on a picnic blanket with your famly and friends. We’ll enjoy a lazy sun filled afternoon in the park next to the Columbia River listening to some great music while having a picnic lunch. Do bring your favorite beverage and food coolers as the local vendors are somewhat limited.
In addition, you are invited to bring your own low-back chairs and blankets to the marina park. Presenting sponsor, Lacamas Credit Union and numerous other local businesses have joined in supporting the event. The Lions Club will again host a beer garden and hamburgers will be available for purchase.
We'll be located in front to the right of the stage. We'll probably have a group of 30 plus so the challenge, as always, will be to hold the spaces. If possible, please come around 1 PM so we can spread out and hold our ground.

It’s the 5th Annual Battle of the Bands happening at Ponderosa Lounge / Jubitz Truck Stop on Hayden Island.
As a special treat, Tommy Von Jim (the leader of The SlimJims) has arranged a FREE one hour Western Dance Lesson on your behalf with Ty and Andy Hebert– the featured dance instructors for the Ponderosa Lounge.
The evening starts at 6:30 PM with a 30 minute “meet and greet”. After that, Ty and Andy will give FREE one hour Western Dance Lesson from 7 to 8 PM.
Then the two featured bands of the night –The SlimJims and Rodeo Rose - will take the stage at 8:00 PM for the Ponderosa Lounge Country Music “Battle of the Bands”.
So fellow SlimJim Fans don’t be shy. Come on down and swing your partner round and round!
